Establishing International Professional Contacts

I found this assignment to be very challenging. I set out to find contacts by looking in the areas that I have always wanted to visit. I reached out to Busy Bee Child Care centers in England. This is a large scale child care center. I also reached out to a professor at the University of Kenya. She is a Doctor of Education and a mother as well. I also received a very warm response from the University of Otago in New Zealand. I have also emailed a few other professors at Universities across Europe. I loved introducing myself and sharing about the educational journey that I am embarking on this semester.
The website I chose to explore was NAEYC. The reason I did this familiar site was the idea that I needed to take time to understand their position statements and all of the different facets of what they do to support Early Childhood Education. I often am hurried and don't get the opportunity to explore. This way I will take the time to fully understand the scope of their work.
