Federal Organizations

On the Federal Level there are so many organizations that help promote children, early learning and equity. One thing that I look for in an organization is the amount of money that is actually used to provide service and how much is used for administrative tasks.
After researching this aspect I found SAVE THE CHILDREN. The leader for this nonprofit is amazing. She has a professional blog that was very inspiring to me .The following is taken from the website:
Save the Children has a proven track record of using donations efficiently and effectively. From school children who send their allowance for relief efforts to the largest philanthropic donors, we cherish all of our supporters. You can be assured that Save the Children uses the valuable resources donors have provided in the most cost-effective ways possible.
Our independently audited financial statements consistently show that nearly 9 out of every 10 dollars we spend goes to programs and services for children and families in need.
This type of commitment resonates with me. The ability to shape policies that promote the wellbeing of children is exciting. The following position is available in Washington DC.

I included the whole job description in case anyone was interested in this. You would need a good understanding of policy and legislation. As a leader in the field, passion would fuel your work. You would need a professional, articulate presence.
The other Federal organization is Child Care Aware. This is also has state branches. There are many Executive Director positions. This would be a great job because you can be a visionary and see things come to fruition. You would have to be a strong collaborator. You would need to have a strong presence and be able to speak extemporaneously. You would also need a broad understanding of the childcare licensing of that state. It would be a huge job but very rewarding.
Their mission is one that resonates with me.
The third is NAEYC. This is the cream of the crop organization to work with in the area of ECE. The reason this resonates with me is that their mission is to bring our work together as a clearinghouse for information.  This environment would be very professional. I would love to be around a community of practice, on a daily basis, that wanted the same thing.
The job that sounds very exciting is one that I couldn't do presently due to family commitments but I would love working at this level in the organization. I have included the description below:
