International Contact Outcomes...

Outcomes of learning of my international contacts journeys through the Early Childhood field are somewhat similar to here such as inequity, global trends within the field with curriculum and philosophy. Dr. Kamau was especially expressive of the inequity in quality early learning due to poverty. My NZ contact sited economic reasons as well. Hers were pointed more toward the professional. The cuts in funds, the crowded classrooms, the use of uneducated assistants all ultimately affect the child but have a strong effect on the professionalism within the field.
I am very grateful to these women for taking time to connect with me at no benefit to them other than an establishment of a global relationship. I believe one goal I have is to foster an awareness of the inequities that face all of us within this field. I will continue to work with my local and state government to develop an awareness and find ways to bridge the gaps. Thank you Dr. Kamau and Karen.
Thank you to my colleagues for  engaging in lively discussion regarding Issues and Trends. I appreciate your insight and your blog posts!
